Fern is a character I made up while fooling around with the freehand tool in paintbrush. Yes, her face was drawn entirely freehand, and it was a pleasant surprise when she turned out to be rather pretty

To put it simply, Fern is a fairy princess. Her favorite color is green, (this entire portfolio is green!) and it can be seen in the number of green clothes.

There is as house and tree covered in winter snow; it provides a striking contrast to the shimmered clothing that is the "essense" of this set.

Set 8 is by the talented Dawn Hall, who drew gypsy hair and an amazing princess-like gown. Thank You Dawn!

Fern was really my first experiment with shimmery shading. Her clothes are sparkly, and really does overwhelm me sometimes; these dresses below are made with the MS Paint "airbrush" function
Fern is going to remain unfinished for those of you who have been asking. She is a beta version, and she will have to forever stay as a beta version, since I don't really like her as a base doll much any more. I'm cruel, I know, but I'm sorry ^.-

I've always been rather notorious for my lack of shoes in a Kiss set. Most people who have e-mailed me don't really mind; there are a still a few that do. Honestly, I can't draw shoes. I tried ... I really tried (^.^) this time, and drew a *few* shoes. There are one or two not in the picture, but this pretty much represents the whole she-bang of foot accessories available in Fern. Oh yes, I did forget the socks.

I couldn't decide if this picture should be in the horizontal or the vertical column postion, so I just stuck it in the center! I got outfit inspirations from ... Fran Drescher who Sometimes has cool clothes. I think the clothes look pretty cool ...

The airbrush also introduced me to a new way of drawing denim. One thing I absolutely adore about this set is her jeans.I always thought that they looked rather fabulous on her legs.I confess, now that I look back, it may have been seeing some tattered light blue jeans from other artists (I'm sorry that I can't remember) that started this idea about airbrushed jeans. s

I know, I know, I'm so modest. ^.^
